Kenny G’s iconic and unique sound — created by fusing elements of R&B, pop, and jazz — has become a staple in contemporary music. Often referred to simply as Sweeney Todd is a 1979 musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by Hugh Wheeler. The unsettling tale of a Victorian-era barber who returns home to London after fifteen years of exile to take revenge on the corrupt judge who ruined his life. When revenge eludes him, Sweeney swears vengeance on the entire human race, doing away with as many people as he can, while his business associate Mrs. Lovett bakes the bodies into meat pies and sells them to the unsuspecting public. Perhaps composer/lyricist Stephen Sondheim’s most perfect score, Sweeney Todd is lush, operatic, and full of soaring beauty, pitch-black comedy, and stunning terror. It’s one of the signal achievements of the American musical theater of the last 50 years, and it’s the high-water mark of Sondheim’s six remarkable collaborations with director Harold Prince.

Observe the beauty and power of early twentieth century automotive design and engineering. From the first modern car, the 1886 Benz Patent Motorwagen, to the 1952 Allard J2X, the British car with an American engine, many different unique cars are on display. But vintage automobiles are just the beginning. Experience live steam and discover how our country steered bravely toward industry on the wheels of innovation.
We will have a 1 ½ hour docent led tour.

After our tour we will have a LUNCH (OYO) stop at Westfield Countryside Mall in Clearwater. Many restaurants – Bacon Street Diner, PF Changs, Cheesecake Factory, Red Robin, BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse and food court.
