SCC TRAVEL CLUB POLICY: To participate in any trip, you must be able to get on and off the bus by yourself. For liability reasons, the escort is not permitted to assist, nor is it required for the bus driver to assist. The bus driver will try to get as close to the entrance as possible, but there are times when they may not be able to, and you may be required to walk a distance.

MEMBERSHIP $15 per person – Membership can be obtained if you are a resident of SCC or Kings Point. Must have a current CA or KP Badge. We will accept a phone photocopy of your current badge – KP photo of front and back.

MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL – A new membership form must be filled out completely. Current CA, KP or Freedom Plaza id must be shown at time of renewal. It is a requirement of the sun city center community association.

TICKETS will be given on the day of the trip. Check in with the escort to obtain a bus boarding pass and ticket if applicable

SEATS ON BUS – Please take the same seat on the return trip. A boarding pass is given out in the order which you arrive for check in.

PAYMENT Checks are preferred for all trips, but cash will be accepted if in the correct amount. We are unable to make change. No credit cards are accepted.

CANCELLATION POLICY The purchaser may cancel a reservation for a day trip or an overnight trip at any time. A refund will not be provided unless the trip has been sold out and the reservation is re-sold by the office. A refund check minus 10% will be made to the members. Members may give tickets to another member, BUT the office must be notified of the name change before the trip. A 100% refund will be issued if the trip is cancelled by the office.

TRIP REFUNDS If a member is entitled to a trip refund (by way of a member canceling the trip or the Club cancels the trip), the refund check will be payable in the name of that member, except when spouses have same last name, then one check.  The Club will not recognize the person who initially paid for the trip to be the person entitled to the refund.  A guest refund will be made payable to the member who signed up the guest.  If we are notified that a member is deceased and the Club cancels the trip or that person’s seat is resold, the refund check will be payable in the deceased name for their estate to handle. 

GUESTS Travel Club members will be allowed 2 guests on each trip. Date for guests sign-up will be 14 days after trip posted date. All guests will pay an  additional $5.00 fee and all other fees associated with that trip. Guests must be accompanied on the trip by a club member. If a member cancels and has a guest accompanying them the guest cannot remain on the trip.

WAIT LIST if a trip is sold out, you may add your name to the wait list. If we get a cancellation, you will receive a call that a ticket has become available, we do not leave a message. You will then be asked to pay for the trip at that time.

LINKING WITH OTHER MEMBERS please indicate the name you want to be linked with on the signup sheet, if not signing up on the same sheet or on the same day. LAST MINUTE SIGN UPS MAY NOT ALWAYS BE ABLE TO BE LINKED WITH A MEMBER WHO SIGNED UP EARLIER.

PICKUP TIME OR LOCATION when in doubt please refer to the website or newsletter. The office will try to return calls during office hours and after hours.

NORTH PICK UP a North Pickup is located at 1207 N Pebble Beach Blvd. far end of parking lot between North Course Lane and the security patrol building. Check in with escort.

OVERNIGHT TRIPS all overnight trips will be a NORTH PICK-UP for SCC & KP members – 1207 N Pebble Beach Blvd. far end of parking lot between N Course Lane and the security patrol building. Check in with escort. You will receive a sign to place on your dashboard. Security patrol is aware when we have an overnight trip, this will let them know you are with SCC Travel Club.

SPECIAL SEATING please let the office know at the time of signing up if you need special seats, i.e. Aisle or accessible seating. Some theaters may require an additional charge for accessible seating.

REMINDERS it is your responsibility when you sign up for a trip to make a note, take a picture with your phone or ask for a copy of your sign up sheet. NOTE: time of trip and date and if it’s a NORTH PICK UP

NEWSLETTER SIGN UPS Sign up for SCC Members opens the Monday after the Newsletter comes out. The following week will be open for KP members. The third week will be open to guest of members. Dates are posted on NEW TRIPS in the Newsletter and on the posters.
