A triumphant story of starry success and a bittersweet story of love, Funny Girl is a musical with score by Jule Styne, lyrics by Bob Merrill, an updated book from Harvey Fierstein based on the original classic by Isobel Lennart, tap choreography by Ayodele Casel, choreography by Ellenore Scott, and direction from Michael Mayer, this love letter to the theatre has the whole shebang!
The original production of Funny Girl premiered on Broadway in 1964 starring Barbra Streisand as Fanny Brice and was nominated for eight Tony Awards including Best Musical. The semi-biographical plot is based on the life and career of comedian and Broadway star Fanny Brice, featuring her stormy relationship with entrepreneur and gambler Nicky Arnstein. Featuring one of the greatest musical scores of all time, including classic songs “Don’t Rain On My Parade,” “I’m the Greatest Star” and “People,” this love letter to the theater is the story of the indomitable Fanny Brice, a girl from the Lower East Side who dreamed of a life on the stage. Everyone told her she’d never be a star, but then something funny happened—she became one of the most beloved performers in history, shining brighter than the brightest lights of Broadway.

The Bishop Museum of Science and Nature is a natural history museum specializing in the history of Florida's Gulf Coast. It houses exhibits highlighting Florida history from prehistoric to the present. The Museum also features The Planetarium, the Parker Manatee Rehabilitation Habitat, the Mosaic Backyard Universe and a constantly changing lineup of temporary exhibitions – offering something new to discover with each visit!

The Planetarium at The Bishop Museum of Science and Nature is the premier astronomy facility on Florida’s west coast. Enjoy an immersive experience in our 50-foot full-dome theater with our incredible Digistar 6 software and dual projection system. The combination of our system and the size of our dome enables us to recreate a breathtaking, dark-sky environment.

Parker Manatee Rehabilitation Habitat at The Bishop Museum of Science and Nature holds 60,000 gallons of water and houses manatees that were rescued from the wild after they became sick or injured. This exhibition allows above and underwater viewing and offers guests information about the anatomy and life history of manatees, including the challenges they face in the wild. The Museum’s Parker Manatee Aquarium is a second stage rehabilitation facility.
We will have a guided walking tour of the museum, Planetarium show, and Manatee Presentation.

Steel Magnolias is a stage play by American writer Robert Harling, based on his experience with his sister's death. The play is a comedy-drama about the bond among a group of Southern women in northwest Louisiana.

Truvy Jones runs a successful beauty salon in Chinquapin, Louisiana, where all the ladies in the neighborhood have a standing Saturday appointment. Along with her anxious and eager assistant, Annelle, Truvy styles the hair of many of the women about town: wealthy widow and former first lady of Chinquapin, Clairee Belcher, local curmudgeon Ouiser Boudreaux ("I'm not crazy, I've just been in a bad mood for forty years”), intelligent and compassionate career woman M’Lynn, and her daughter Shelby, the prettiest girl in town. Shelby’s engagement is the talk of the town, but the joy and excitement of her wedding quickly turn to concern as she faces a risky pregnancy and a myriad of health complications. Eventually, when Shelby dies from complications related to her diabetes, M’Lynn must deal with the most difficult of life’s challenges: the loss of one’s only child. As the women of Chinquapin makes their ways over life’s many hurdles together, they find comfort (and a fair amount of verbal ribbing) in one another. “You have no idea how wonderful you are,” M’Lynn tells the ladies at the end of the play. Truvy responds, with a smile, “Of course we do.”

Looking at the world through Dorothy’s eyes, Michael has a life-changing epiphany: “Women listen to each other.” He becomes close friends with his co-star Julie, and it isn’t long before Michael (disguised as Dorothy) starts to fall for her. Can Michael sustain his greatest acting challenge, or will he reveal the truth and be true to himself? Adapted from the 1980s movie of the same name, Tootsie is a hilarious crowd-pleaser that enjoys poking fun at Broadway musical theatre.

The international touring show, The Beat Goes On returns to Clearwater, featuring American singer/actress Lisa McClowry’s portrayal of the Goddess of Pop in this Broadway-style live show. Lisa was named Tribute Artist of the Year in 2023, so come hear her perfect renditions of Cher’s hits from the 60’s to now, including I Got You Babe, Gypsies Tramps and Thieves, I Found Someone, If I Could Turn Back Time and so much more! Rounding out the fun: a live band, Cher’s iconic costumes video projections, and lots of audience participation.

Nonetheless, this quirky family still must deal with many of the same challenges faced by any other family, and the spookiest nightmare faced by every family creates the focus Lippa, Brickman, and Elice’s musical: the Addams kids are growing up. The Adamses lived by their unique values for hundreds of years and Gomez and Morticia, the patriarch and matriarch of the clan, would be only too happy to continue living that way. Their dark, macabre, beloved daughter Wednesday, however, is now an eighteen-year-old young woman who is ready for a life of her own. She has fallen in love with Lucas Beineke, a sweet, smart boy from a normal, respectable Ohio family — the most un-Addams sounding person one could be! And to make matters worse, she invited the Beinekes to their home for dinner. In one fateful, hilarious night, secrets are disclosed, relationships are tested, and the Addams family must face up to the one horrible thing they’ve managed to avoid for generations: change.

And Cracker Country - Cracker Country is a rural Florida living history museum located on the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa. Set on four beautiful acres of live oak trees, the museum includes 13 original structures built in Florida between 1870-1912.

My Mother's Italian, My Father's Jewish & I'm Still In Therapy is his next hilarious installment in his quest to defend himself against those people whose sole purpose in life is to add chaos to his.

We meet the people that we’re all too familiar with; the family members that make you remember why you left home in the first place. This time, however, we get to see greater nuances into the personalities of the dozens of characters we’ll meet along the way, especially Steve’s sister, "THE SMOKER", the, "She can do no wrong in the eyes of Mama" sister. His ex-wife: after the divorce she got the ring, and I got the finger! Well, you get the picture.
