Misery follows successful romance novelist Paul Sheldon, who is rescued from a car crash by his “Number One Fan,” Annie Wilkes, and wakes up captive in her secluded home. While Paul is convalescing, Annie reads the manuscript to his newest novel and becomes enraged when she discovers the author has killed off her favorite character, Misery Chastain. Annie forces Paul to write a new “Misery” novel, and he quickly realizes Annie has no intention of letting him go anywhere. The irate Annie has Paul writing as if his life depends on it, and if he does not make her deadline, it will. It is based on the 1987 novel of the same name by Stephen King, which was adapted into a 1990 film written by William Goldman.

Certified as one of the top five haunted houses in Florida, the May Stringer Historical House is a 4 story, seven gable, gingerbread trim, 14 room “Painted Lady” Victorian era home overlooking the City of Brooksville on Florida’s Adventure Coast, Brooksville-Weeki Wachee. There are rooms devoted to specific themes such as an Elegant Dining Room, Victorian Bedrooms, Military Room, an 1880’s Doctor’s Office, and a 1900s Communication Room. The house is on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Train Depot Museum in Brooksville FL is a historical landmark, offering visitors a chance to experience the town’s past. The museum houses a vast collection of artifacts, photographs, and documents related to the history of Brooksville, as well as the railroad industry. The museum also houses a library and research center, where visitors can view original documents, photographs, and other historic records related to Brooksville and the railroad industry.

The Countryman Family One Room Schoolhouse is reminiscent of the First Schoolhouse in Hernando County built in 1852 by Fredrick Lykes. We will bring you back in time to experience our school lessons while sitting in authentic wooden desks. Our interactive lessons include the 3 R’s and life skills like carrying water jugs from the local well. Docents dressed in period attire will teach you the 3 R's in the reconstructed classroom. Exhibits of early toys and games as well as Native American artifacts and history. Newly constructed, in the spirit of the original one-room schoolhouse built by the Lykes family in 1852.

In a Berlin nightclub, as the 1920s draw to a close, a garish Master of Ceremonies welcomes the audience and assures them they will forget all their troubles at the Cabaret. With the Emcee’s bawdy songs as wry commentary, Cabaret explores the dark, heady and tumultuous life of Berlin’s natives and expatriates as Germany slowly yields to the emerging Third Reich. Cliff, a young American writer newly arrived in Berlin, is immediately taken with English singer Sally Bowles. Meanwhile, Fräulein Schneider, proprietor of Cliff and Sally’s boarding house, tentatively begins a romance with Herr Schultz, a mild-mannered fruit seller who happens to be Jewish. One of the most poignant musicals of our generation, Cabaret features such songs as “Willkommen,” “Cabaret,” “Don’t Tell Mama,” and “Maybe This Time.”

This quaint ranch offers visitors the opportunity to interact with adorable miniature animals in a peaceful and picturesque setting. From miniature horses to tiny goats, there are plenty of cute animals to meet and greet at Fallen Pine Ranch Miniature.
Fallen Pine Farm was founded in 1978 when Norm and Judy Middleton bought five acres and three miniature horses to run with their four quarter horses in eastern Sarasota County. Over the years, their ranch grew to its current 40 acres and over 100 miniature horses. Today, the farm is home to many national champions and quality horses. This Year’s 21st Anniversary Scenario - Scottish vs. English. Step into the year 1333, where thundering hooves and clashing steel echo across the Scottish borders!  This season, the Sarasota Medieval Fair brings history to life with the legendary Battle of Halidon Hill.  Amidst royal rivalries and fierce ambitions, two powerful kings command their forces in a dramatic showdown, one seeking to defend his homeland, the other determined to claim a throne. But worry not, this isn’t your dusty old history class. Our battlefield becomes a living chessboard, where bold champions move to the command of their kings in a grand human combat match. Strategy, spectacle, and swordplay await, all in good fun and with a few surprises for the whole family.  Whose tactics will triumph? Whose bravery will shine? The outcome lies in the game... so choose your side, cheer your champions.

So many fun things to do!  Plenty of old historic oak trees with lots of shade and seating.  Come enjoy the day with us.

The history so presented is a play on actual accounts of the stories and legends
of the characters involved during this time period.  

 The festival is an outdoor event, held in a natural park-like setting.  Wheelchairs and motorized wheelchairs are welcome. Guests are welcome to wear medieval costumes! No outside food or beverages may be brought into the festival.

Enjoy Tampa’s largest Lighted Boat Parade along the Hillsborough River in Downtown Tampa on board the Yacht Starship. During this 2.5-hour cruise guests will enjoy a holiday buffet dinner, excellent water views of the annual Downtown Tampa Holiday Lighted Boat Parade (weather permitting), DJ entertainment, and dancing on the top deck. While en route, passengers view decorated homes in Bayshore Drive, Harbour Island, Davis Islands, and downtown Tampa as the area transforms into a winter wonderland. Highlights include a 35-foot-tall LED lighted Christmas tree that floats in the harbor, a floating gingerbread lighted display, and a lighted pine tree forest. Hotels, restaurants, and bars along the Riverwalk will also have their own festive lighted displays, contributing to the atmosphere of magic.
