Dr. Sean Merritt, a heartbroken doctor from Toronto, moves to Stewiacke, a town famously located halfway between the Equator and the North Pole, to take a temporary job at the local clinic. When Sean becomes interested in Janine Babineau, a local waitress, this inadvertently stirs the lives of her close-knit group of friends: Vi, Rita, and Mary Ellen. Each woman navigates her own romantic and personal challenges. The story unfolds with humor, secrets, and heartfelt moments, highlighting the bonds of friendship and the quirks of small-town life.
