Chinsegut Hill Historic Site is located atop one of the highest points in Florida and surrounded by a 114-acre preserve. From prehistoric people to pioneer settlers, from an agrarian plantation before the Civil War to the emancipation of enslaved people, Chinsegut Hill has witnessed thousands of years of Florida’s history. Learn about the history of Chinsegut Hill, a historic manor house and property in Florida that was once owned by Raymond Robins, an advisor to several U.S. presidents. At Chinsegut Hill, the Robins entertained, among others, Helen Keller, William Jennings Bryant, Thomas Edison, J.C. Penney, Jane Addams, and Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings. Explore the diverse stories of Florida’s past in one unique location: Chinsegut Hill Historic Site. A docent-led tour of the Manor House and tour of the grounds.
